In our offer, you can choose photographic backgrounds made from two types of material: standard and premium.

These materials have been selected by our company based on over twenty years of experience in the photography industry, which is why photographic backgrounds from Pastelowe Marzenia have all the features needed for professional and comfortable work for every photographer. The basic advantages of both materials are: no glare, lightness, the possibility of washing and ironing the material, odorlessness. Fabric photographic backgrounds are finished in a way to facilitate work as well as enable convenient storage. Details and all information can be found in the descriptive tabs on the product page. The backgrounds presented in the store are products made to your individual order and are non-returnable without giving a reason, thus they are subject to art.38 para.1 and para.3 of the Consumer Rights Act. It is possible to order a paid material sample before making a purchase.

Please note that the background may physically differ slightly in brightness and color from the file in the store. This is because each of you views the pattern on a differently calibrated monitor with varying brightness settings. Some browse the store on a smartphone or tablet, where contrast is enhanced. Moreover, colors look different in photos taken with studio lighting compared to ambient light. Available sizes: 

• Minimum background size: 2.6 m²
• Maximum width of one side: 3 m 
• The other side can be as long as 15 m

We can make a custom size tailored to your studio. 

We also make material joins and various finishes such as velcro for individual needs.

Types of materials

STANDARD Material – 205 g/m²

A universal material for studio and mobile work.

Properties

• matte surface without reflections,
• durable print – paint does not rub off or smudge,
• odorless material,
• slightly stiffer than the Premium version,
• works well: in suspension systems, on walls, in photographic studios.

Care

• can be washed at a temperature up to 40°C (without bleach),
• can be ironed on the reverse side,
• can use a steamer on the printed side (recommended method),
• when ironing with an iron, it is recommended to start at a lower temperature and gradually increase it.

PREMIUM Material – 300 g/m²

A more flexible and comfortable material to work with than Standard. Especially recommended for mobile photography. Easy to fold into a cube. Very easy to smooth out after unfolding and quickly ready to use.

Properties

Has all the advantages of the Standard material:

• no reflections,
• durable print resistant to rubbing and smudging,
• odorless.

Additionally:

• less prone to creasing,
• more flexible and pliable, which facilitates non-standard hanging, e.g., ladders in a gym hall,
• easier to iron,
• dries faster after using a steamer, allowing for quick readiness for shooting,
• it is so pliable that despite the curve formed on telescopic rods, it lays perfectly without waves or creases (see photo below). 

No waves or creases when hung on a telescopic rod that forms a curve at maximum extension.

Care

• can be washed at a temperature up to 40°C (without bleach),
• iron on the reverse side,
• can use a steamer on the printed side (recommended method),
• material irons and steams easier than Standard and quickly regains its properties after smoothing.

BLOKER Material – 250 g/m²

Material for photographers requiring complete opacity of the background.

Properties

• completely blocks light,
• eliminates the problem of see-throughs,
• allows working without worrying about light behind the background (e.g., window or lamp),
• has a black backing that increases opacity.

Care

• recommended hand wash or delicate program up to 30°C (without bleach),
• can use a steamer (recommended method) or iron through a cotton cloth at low temperature. It is recommended to iron on the reverse side (from the black backing side). Best results are achieved when the material is still slightly damp.

Finish:

• top
  • backgrounds may have a 7 cm tunnel for inserting the crossbar of the stand,
  • they can be cut to size, which is useful for photographers who nail the backgrounds to the wall,
  • it is possible to add a so-called run-off (additional material in white or close to the background pattern color), which allows the background to be wrapped onto the background hanging system, to throw the run-off over the stand crossbar,
• bottom
  • backgrounds can be cut to size; this option is used when the background is nailed to the wall. It facilitates transport of the background because it can be folded into a cube and reduces the shipping size. This option does not have weights at the bottom.
  • they can have a sewn-in weight, a thick rod with a maximum length of 2 meters, which straightens the background. For wider backgrounds, the rod is cut in half and inserted at the bottom on both sides of the background. Backgrounds up to 200 cm wide have the rod in one piece.
  • a background made of premium material can be printed with a run-off at the bottom, which allows placing the background under a vinyl background that serves as the floor. This acts as a kind of stabilization for the background without a weight.
• fabric backgrounds up to 240 cm wide come with a wooden stick for rolling the background and easier storage. For fabric backgrounds 250 cm wide, such a stick can be purchased in the online store,
• backgrounds wider than 250 cm do not have a stick because shipping for such large sizes imposes a very high fee,

Below we present to you the standard cropping for the sold sizes. This is how the background will be cropped if you do not provide your comments when placing the order or do not change the frame during a phone conversation with the company employee.
